The Earth Builder (original drawing)See the turtle of enormous girth Patterns, patterns, patterns. Sea turtles are just about the coolest animals around. One of the best animals to illustrate patterns of life. I once read of an ancient myth that the earth was formed on the back of a turtle traveling through the cosmos. This myth gave me the idea for for this piece. I combined African and Australian tribal patterns for the background to help accentuate the origin mythology. My originals

I really like the  contrast in textures and color that I achieved with this piece

It was for a team project thing and they were called the Argonauts

I know they have the same number of vertebrae in their necks as we do but they look so alien

These cut out pieces are big vary in price and size

In my previous turtle drawing "The Earth Builder" I did a combination of African and Australian tribal patterns

And will definitely be adding some more large pieces like this
