Rampage (wood print | green on mustard background)To me a charging rhinoceros is one of the coolest things in nature unless youre on the receiving end of their horn. The intensity and veracity are mesmerizing. This piece was about texture and movement for me. I used what my daughter calls scribble scrabble for the texture of the Rhino. I think it gives it an appropriately frenetic feel. This piece is also about a moment in a rampage. The moment that its too late. All wood prints are printed on birch

This is also the first piece that I colorized

I have always thought giraffe were such strange animals

Made perfect sense to me

The loose nature and absence of patterns made this piece no exception

I used what my daughter calls scribble scrabble for the texture of the Rhino

I wanted to show a high contrast of light and dark but I also wanted a contrast between organic and non-organic textures

This piece is as much about a seahorse and their many segments as it is about how reality can seem fragmented

Each piece is 12" wide x 36" tall
