1987 Fender Japan STM55 Pro Feel "Medium Scale" Stratocaster (Black)Made by the Fujigen factory in the late 80's as part of Fender Japan's "Pro Feel" series, the STM55 was a Stratocaster model with a contoured cutaway at the neck joint and a Gibson style 628mm scale length for a more compact feel and full access to all 22 frets. Alder body bolted to a satin feel maple neck (10" radius, 41mm nut width), it weighs 3. 2kg's. Loaded with three Fender Japan HOTROD single coils, Gotoh tuners and an STM End Rox Stratocaster

The bridge was also replaced to a Wilkinson system at some stage

it's one of the best examples of a DT870 to hit the market in a long time
