Jeanmaire Blanc de Noirs Brut Vintage 1981A difficult growing season and April frosts reduced the yields. Most houses concentrated on non vintage blends, but some nice vintage wines were made. Typical blend, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier. 75cl bottle. Abv 12% Bottle condition, foil intact, label good, wine level 2cm.

The 1995 vintage was very good for the wines of Bordeaux and Chateau la Laguna

A bottle opened recently was magnificent and lived up to the reputation of this great vintage

100% Syrah

still very primary with some developing secondary stuff like gravel and leather and a medium finish

but with a couple of decades of time on its hands

alongside earthier notes and boiled sweets
