Latour MartillacThe 2015 Tour Martillac was impressive from barrel and that is translated into bottle. It has a much more attractive bouquet than the 2015 Olivier with crushed strawberry, briary and warm gravel aromas. The palate is medium bodied with grainy tannin, a fine bead of acidity, fresh and classic in style with an earthy and quite persistent finish. Excellent. Curvy and generous

round and very forward flavors lack the same concentration as the Amoureuses and while this is certainly pretty as the tannins are notably fine-grained

but it is unrealistic to place too high an expectation on a wine that was frankly made with pretty rustic means
