Ebonite handle spins freely. Good spool spindle fit. The agate guide is free of cracks. There are some unusual circular marks on the spool to note in the second photo. These are cosmetic only and don't affect the performance of the reel. Comes with Hardy zippered case as well as line and backing, ready
