Fine Pair of George III Giltwood Wall BracketsA very fine rare pair of George III Adam period carved giltwood wall brackets of large proportions, modelled in the Neoclassical taste as the Prince of Wales's ostrich feather plumes. England, c. 1770 Of demi lune form, with a molded upper edge over a fluted frieze, supported by Prince of Wales feathers above a plumed acanthus foliage, with tapering bellflowers below, decorated in burnished gold leaf.
