Hardy St. George 3" Fly Reel - Three Screw LatchFor sale here is a Hardy St. George 3 inch fly reel with three screw latch. Excellent condition throughout. Smooth alloy foot and MKI check from 1917 1921. No cracks, chips, or dings. The dark brown agate line guide is crack free. The tension regulator works as intended. Nice strong check throughout its range.

The only marks are a tiny ding at 3 o'clock in photo 3 and a mark in the anodized sideplate

Guide at top of butt is smaller than any on the mid section

which Hardy made starting in 1911 and which was itself inspired by the well-known tournament put on by the Casting Club of France (of which Louis Bougle was a founder and at which many renowned anglers of the day competed for accuracy and distance casting)
