There is both good energy and a bit more refinement to the lightly stony medium weight plus flavors that evidence just a touch of tannic edginess on the lingering finish

Approximately 300 cases were made

delicious and very complex mouth coating flavors of superb depth and length

toasty oak and plenty of sweet tannin in its full-bodied

The wine is full-bodied and dense with moderately high tannin

a profound opaque purple color and enormous notes of lead pencil shavings intermixed with blackberry liqueur

A discreet but not invisible touch of wood sets off a more deeply pitched and intensely floral nose that in particular displays notes of violet and lavender along with plum

There is a really lovely sense of underlying tension suffusing the much more mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are not quite as rich but notably more precise on the chiseled and wonderfully refined finish

This isn't quite as floral as the Amoureuses but it's even spicier with its purple fruit
