Threshold I

Threshold IBritish artist Jo Elbourne has been making textile works since 2015. Her pared down practice explores both literally and figuratively the notion of managing tension, and plays with the possibilities of line and colour using a singular material and a simple yet exacting technique. The surface of each piece is created in iterative movements wrapping fine yarn or braided cord for larger works row by row to form taut and layered pieces that yield images
