1980's BC Rich Japan NJ Series Neckthrough Mockingbird Bass (Black)The September 2010 issue of Guitar World ranked the Mockingbird as "the coolest guitar of all time". Part of the NJ series ("Nagoya, Japan", not "New Jersey"), this was a the higher end neckthrough model from BC Rich that never had the pesky (and often broken) Varitone system. a Custom Shop Texas Special single coil in the middle and a DiMarzio Air Norton DP193 in the neck position

Reasonably clean vintage cosmetic condition as pictured with light cosmetic wear as pictured

Previous owner installed unbranded Invader style high gain pickups

Aftermarket Fender saddles installed along with some modern replacement tuners

Frets are shiny with plenty of life and only mild play wear

Made in Japan in the 1990's as part of their Japan Edition series

Not to be confused with the 40th Anniversary DS-1-4A model
