which had lovely yellow tones in the strong light of an early spring day

along with the beautiful violet sky

not stopped by the pollarded trees

Although the bright sunlight shone down upon the ornate Italian marble with caryatids and arched niches

I enjoyed making studies of the animals residing on the grounds

I wanted to capture the mood of the Grand Canal shortly before sunset
