1981 Yamaha Japan SF3000 Super Flighter (Brown Sunburst)

1981 Yamaha Japan SF3000 Super Flighter (Brown Sunburst)Made in Japan for a short period of time around 1981, the SF3000 was part of the second generation of Super Flighter models and was sold only within Japan. Solid alder body with a set slim maple neck and 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (13. 75" radius, 628mm scale length, 44mm nut width), it weighs a nimble 3. 3kg's. Loaded with a single Yamaha F III humbucker controlled by volume tone knobs and a push pull coil split, this one seems to be all original.

Japanese made in 1981 these are some of the coolest basses to come out of the Matsumoku factory

both necks are straight

it's got a replacement back plate and a reglued section of the lower horn

Has a few bumps and dings from seemingly being dropped a few times but there's no structural damage or repairs anywhere to be seen

we added a new output jack plate and converted it back to a standard output jack

This one is loaded with the original Gibson USA PAF '57 Classic humbuckers along with Japanese tuners and was professionally routed to fit the Floyd Rose Original tremolo system with a locking nut

- Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece

It's known that both Tokai and ESP have made copies of it and this looks like exactly the same specs as those but there's no way to confirm the builder unfortunately

Loaded with the original Spinex pickups with coil splits on the tone knobs along with the original bridge
