George IV Miniature Silver Vinaigrette John Bettridge Birmingham 1824This is a miniature silver vinaigrette with a decorative top. The top decoration is a based around a central flower. The back is plainer with sprig of leaves as the engraved decoration contained within a wavy border. The inside opens to reveal a plain and simple grille and a gilded interior. The box is in good condition with general scuffs and marks mainly to the edges of the box - see pictures

The glass is also free from damage and the cork stopper appears to be original

with shield shape cartouche on one side of the handle

It is hallmarked in Chester and comes in its original velvet lined box making it a highly collectable piece of Edwardian silver
