Chateau Margaux Vintage 19871987 was not one of the great vintages, but one in which Chateau margaux produced a good wine. All be it in a lighter style. Typical blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc. 75cl bottle. Abv% not stated. Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level top shoulder.

Chateau Climens is one of a few estates that produces its sweet wine from 100% Semillon

The 1990 vintage was fabulous for the sweet wines of Bordeaux

The 2013 vintage had some problems with the weather

A reasonably good vintage where the left bank Medoc's faired a little better than the right

In their old style bottle that was changed to the more traditional Bordeaux bottle for the 1979 vintage

Along with holdings in Oppenheimer

Personally I always use a Durand with Musar

but sold in 2016 to Maison Marteuot

The brand follows a simple but effective philosophy of producing small quantities of super premium

1985 was a very good vintage and L'Angelus produced a wine that was full bodied
