William IV Silver Vinaigrette Edward Smith Birmingham 1835A striking William IV hallmarked silver vinaigrette by Edward Smith. This silver vinaigrette is of typical form with an engine turned decoration and applied border. It has a rectangular central unengraved cartouche. The decoration is really crisp and still sharp with minimal wear. The base and sides are engraved with the same design. The grille is decorative and unusual in that it has a cross through the centre which comes diagonally from the corners.
