It was John Middleton's dream to create such a wine and purchased the Mount Mary property in the Yarra Valley in 1971 to persue this dream. Quintet is his dream realised and is a blend of the classic Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Quintet is a classically proportioned style based on five classic Bordeaux varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc,

which are highly regarded for their quality and unique characteristics

Very mouth-filling and interesting
The Chardonnay is matured in barrel for 11 months prior to bottling
This is complimented on the palate by a fresh kiwi zing

It greets the senses with enticing aromas of ripe blackberries
leaving a lingering sensation of pure agave sweetness
We also matured and fermented the wine in a two new barriques for familiarity and structure
