1980 Yamaha Japan AE-1200 Hollowbody Jazz Electric Guitar (Antique Stain)Japanese made in 1980, the AE 1200 was a high end Jazz sized hollowbody from Yamaha. Bound beech top back with a laminate spruce top, slim C profile mahogany neck and a bound 20 fret ebony fingerboard (12" radius, 628mm scale length), it weighs 3. 5kg's. Loaded with the original pots and Yamaha branded pickups (both with coil splits on push pull tone pots), this one has two new tone capacitors installed as the originals had dried up. Features

the SL-380 was the entry level Les Paul model in the SL series

split fingerboard inlays and the Gibson font GNECO logo on the headstock and original pickup covers

Loaded with a Bare Knuckle pickup in the bridge and a Suhr humbucker in the neck position

Made in Japan for Vestax (the famous audio/electronics company) factory likely in the 1990's

There's a ding on the back of the neck as pictured that's been partially filled and buffed back so it feels smooth in the hand

Solid body with a 20 fret slim profile maple neck (wide 46mm nut width)

Very good condition for it's age with the only exception being the crack to the laminate on the top (very common if you're familiar with Fender laminate models) that was professionally epoxied and filled prior to listing so it's rock solid and purely cosmetic

Designed for fast and intricate playing

It's a custom shop order from the Fujigen factory made in 1991 that was designed to emulate the looks of a walnut/rosewood in a more practical form
