1979 Aria Pro II Japan RSB-900 Neckthrough Electric Bass (Natural)The Aria Pro II RSB 900 was essentially the wide nut version of the SB 1000 and comes from one of the best Japanese bass ranges to ever come out of the Matsumoku factory. A series favoured by bass legends including Cliff Burton, Jack Bruce and John Taylor, the RSB 900 was a neckthrough build with an ash body, a smooth maple walnut transmit neck (and heel less cutaway) and a rosewood 24 fret fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Weighs just over 4.

This one inexplicably has the first 4 frets of the G string scalloped along with the first fret of the E string

Loaded with a passive PJ pickup loadout (IBZ P/J-1) controlled by master volume/tone knobs and a pickup balance knob

The neck was sanded back to a satin smooth finish that's far more comfortable than the removed glossy clear coat

Made in Japan in 2004

This SG-600 was a low range model in the 1981 catalog made to be a budget friendly offering that still gave you a huge amount of tone

Likely made in Korea in the 2000's based on the serial number

There's some binding rot/crumble that's common for these but most of it seems to be stable at this stage
