いさぎよい一枚板の菓子皿。でも裏にはしっかりとさしものの技術が使われています。木目に垂直に差し込まれた板は、
父：福田祥（あきら）が虎尾政治に師事し、民芸家・吉田璋也に指導を受け、民芸木工の道を歩みました。 民芸の心と無垢材と本漆による「鳥取民芸木工」を継承し、使い手の方々に喜ばれる製作に精進しており、高度な刳物、指物技術とともに、現在では吉田様式木工を受け継ぐ唯一の制作者であり、鳥取を代表する木工芸制作者といえます。
